\u751f\u5b58\u72b6\u51b5\u7b49\u7b49\u56fd\u5185\u4e8b\u52a1\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u662f\u5229\u7528\u548c\u7092\u4f5c\u4e2a\u522b\u5916\u56fd\u8bae\u9898\uff0c\u63a8\u5378\u5176\u81ea\u8eab\u6240\u5e94\u5f53\u8d1f\u8d77\u7684\u56fd\u5185\u95ee\u9898\u7684\u8d23\u4efb\uff0c\u8f6c\u5ac1\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u672c\u56fd\u7684\u77db\u76fe\uff0c\u8f6c\u79fb\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u56fd\u5185\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u6700\u540e\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4e5f\u53cd\u5bf9\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u5728\u91ce\u7684\u4fdd\u5b88\u515a\u515a\u9b41\u547c\u5401\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u8054\u90a6\u653f\u5e9c\u63a8\u52a8\u56fd\u9645\u5965\u59d4\u4f1a\u64a4\u56de\u4e2d\u56fd2022\u5e74\u51ac\u5965\u4e3b\u529e\u6743\u7684\u8352\u5510\u505a\u6cd5\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u5bf9\u8bdd\u6c9f\u901a\u548c\u5f7c\u6b64\u5c0a\u91cd\u7b26\u5408\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u7684\u4ef7\u503c\u89c2\uff0c\u800c\u4fdd\u5b88\u515a\u515a\u9b41\u8bd5\u56fe\u7528\u653f\u6cbb\u5e72\u9884\u5965\u6797\u5339\u514b\u7cbe\u795e\uff0c\u5e72\u9884\u6709200\u591a\u4e2a\u4f1a\u5458\u7684\u56fd\u9645\u5965\u59d4\u4f1a\u7684\u8bae\u4e8b\u7a0b\u5e8f\uff0c\u8fd9\u79cd\u505a\u6cd5\u975e\u5e38\u8352\u5510\uff0c\u4e5f\u6781\u5ea6\u4e0d\u8d1f\u8d23\u4efb\uff0c\u4f1a\u7ed9\u52a0\u62ff\u5927\u7684\u56fd\u9645\u5f62\u8c61\u9020\u6210\u4e86\u5f88\u574f\u7684\u8d1f\u9762\u5370\u8c61\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOINT STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Canada\u2019s legitimate community organizations representing hundreds of thousands of Chinese Canadians in greater Montr\u00e9al, Canada, we oppose Xinjiang-related motion passed by Canada&#8217;s House of Commons on February 22. This motion was put forward by the opposition Conservative Party of Canada, and it ignored the basic facts.<\/p>\n<p>We believe that some Canadian politicians and political parties use China&#8217;s Xinjiang issues for their own political gain. Such selfish and narrow-minded behavior violates Canada&#8217;s free and democratic values, and \u200b\u200bthe cultural tradition of tolerance and openness.<\/p>\n<p>The Xinjiang-related motion was an accusation that could not be proven by facts, and it should not be voted politically in Parliament. If the Conservative Party and other politicians are concerned with this issue, they should seek further understanding of this matter. It is irresponsible to use unproven, distorted, one-sided stories and controversial political assertions to push federal lawmakers to vote without knowing the truth.<\/p>\n<p>There are 338 members in the House of Representatives in the Parliament. 226 votes were cast in favor of the bill, with 2 abstentions. The rest of the members did not participate in the vote, so the bill cannot be called &#8220;unanimously passed.&#8221; Secondly, the bill is not binding and does not represent the position of the Canadian government. Therefore, we also oppose any irresponsible media&#8217;s wrong and false reports about the bill being passed by the Canadian Parliament unanimously.<\/p>\n<p>As Chinese Canadians, we are concerned about the conduct of some Canadian politicians who continue to use various Chinese issues to instigate conflicts between China and Canada in order to advance their own political interests. Such irresponsible conduct will cause negative views of the entire Chinese and even Asian communities by Canadians who do not understand the truth, and cause significant distress to the lives and work of more than 1.7 million Chinese Canadians.<\/p>\n<p>As we all know, China-Canada relations are currently facing great challenges due to various reasons. Some Canadian politicians have not made constructive efforts to eliminate misunderstandings, alleviate contradictions, and improve China-Canada relations. Instead, they ignore facts and use China\u2019s Xinjiang issue to continue intensifying the conflicts between China and Canada. We are deeply disappointed and concerned about this situation.<\/p>\n<p>We believe that, as the deliberative body of the elected representatives of Canada, the Parliament should focus more on the domestic affairs of Canada\u2019s epidemic, economy, people\u2019s livelihood, environment, and the living conditions of all ethnic groups, rather than using issues in a foreign country to shirk its own responsibility to Canadians, and ignore Canada\u2019s own internal affairs and conflicts.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we also oppose the calling upon the federal government by the opposition leader of the Conservative Party to push the International Olympic Committee to withdraw the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics in China.<\/p>\n<p>Dialogue, communication and mutual respect are in line with Canadian values. The Conservative Party leaders try to politicize Olympics, disrespect the Olympic spirit, and interfere with the work of the International Olympic Committee that consists of more than 200 countries. Such conduct is absurd and irresponsible, and it will seriously damage Canada&#8217;s image on the international stage.<\/p>\n<p>The Montreal Chinese communities are united to make this joint statement, to oppose the Xinjiang-related motion passed by the Parliament and any politically motivated, self-serving action that may damage Canada-China relation or cast a negative view on the
